100 Faces of Tai Kwun
Exhibition | Hong Kong | Central
As the former hub of law and order in the middle of old Central, the Central Poilice Station (CPS) site has been near and dear to many people’s hearts, regardless if they have worked there. As the first thematic exhibition about Tai Kwun and local culture, it aims to showcase CPS’s history and heritage significance through these people’s stories.
In this project, 5 local painters, the heritage team and the exhibition partner will interview 100 people who have direct or indirect connection to Tai Kwun. The painters will paint the portraits of the interviewees. Their works, together with the interviewees’ stories, will be displayed at regular exhibition area or specific spots which are related to their stories.
A short documentary will be produced.
